things seem to move quickly here in america. but facts are- within about 100 years- the 20th century- we have managed to muck up the entire world's environment. we have encouraged the consumption of most of the world's resources by our economic might and agenda. once you muck up where you live-- and there is nowhere else to move-- you are in serious trouble. so, yeah, the empire is crumbling early. imo of course :)
