The Mad Pride movement or people who independently think along the same lines, are devoting blogs to specific mental illnesses. One such blogger is writer and journalist Liz Spikol. Her blog The Trouble With Spikol is currently one of the most popular blogs on the subject of madness. Liz has bipolar disorder and speaks openly about her own experiences with madness, as well as writing about issues that affect the mental health community.
In these videos, Liz discusses her personal experiences with electro-convulsive therapy or ECT, in her straightforward, humorous and charming manner. Since her treatment, Spikol has spoken out against ECT.
