The Daughters of Hope

"Hope has two beautiful daughters; their names are Anger and Courage.
Anger at the way things are,
and Courage to see that they do not remain as they are."
St. Augustine (354-430 A.D.)

Photo caption: The mothers of these displaced Tarahumara indigenous children begged in the streets of Palomas, Mexico for money from American tourists. Their families ate at the Desert Humanitarian Center's soup kitchen at which my husband and I worked occasionally last year.
